Computing Studies

Computer labThe Computing Studies Department at Marist College Kogarah is a large and dynamic department. The College offers a wide range of Computing courses. These courses include:

  • Year 9/10 Elective Information & Software Technology.
  • Year 11/12 Information Processes and Technology
  • Year 11/12 Software Design and Development

In addition to these courses students in Years 11 and 12 are also able to undertake a Vocational Education course in Information Technology. Students who successfully complete this course recieve a Certificate II in Information Technology under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). This is a nationally recognised qualification. The College supports these activites with a modern network of over 200 computers running in a Windows 2003 Server environment. All students are supplied with an individual login account and email address. The College has developed an Acceptable Use Policy for Information Technology which is available elsewhere on this site.
